MESSAGE

Everything we see today points only to one thing, and it is the fact that the end of all things is near. It’s amazing how many people are not watchful to read the sign on the wall.

Everything the scripture says will happen in the end times is already happening and the last few years have been highly exceptional. From the coronavirus to monkeypox and more recently, a huge ecological imbalance. We must all awake and get out of our slumber. We have been caught sleeping. The church and the people of God are fast asleep.

When you read the scripture you will also find a unique and interesting event that the scripture says will happen to believers. Many will sleep and slip out of the faith. Because iniquity will abound, the love of so many will wax cold (Matthew 24:13-14).

Many believers will still be like the people in the Sardis church with the reputation for being alive but dead. Many will have their Christian dress but are spiritually naked. Do you notice the rate at which spirituality and passion for the things of God are dwindling?

This is a call to awake. This is a call to face the facts, the time is near and we must wash our garments and be ready. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
I Corinthians 5:8 NKJV

It is very sad to see many so-called believers practising the works of darkness. Our reading of the day highlighted the fact that many are drunkards, immoral, lustful, envious, and so on. Believers who live such a life must awake out of the darkness in order to receive the light of Christ.

The days of ignorance God has winked at and He is calling everyone to repent today. How sad will it be if when Jesus comes and you are left behind? We know that the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
I Thessalonians 4:16‭-‬17 NKJV

Are you not sleeping beloved? Those who are secretly committing sin will not make it on that day. On that day when we shall be raptured, will sin not be your undoing? We are getting nearer to the final line, the race is almost over, brace up, wake up, preach the word, and be instant in season and out of season.

REFLECTION

Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.”

Ephesians 5:14 NKJV

These are extraordinary times of great hardship and compromise. Never allow the hardships of this present world to rob you of the blessing that is reserved. Those who are secretly living in sin must repent and awake, this call to wake and Christ will give you light.

PRAYER

Father, Please help me to remain vibrant and steadfast till the end of my journey. Help me to stay awake in the light of Christ.
