MESSAGE

The natural man cannot love, he is full of envy, anger, and hatred. Honestly, it is not the fault of that unregenerate, he simply cannot please God in his unconverted state. That is why you see some people who cannot forgive others. They say it’s over their dead body to forgive the person who offended them.

We know that those who refuse to forgive other persons will not make it to heaven. In Galatians 5:19-21, there is a long list of attitudes or lifestyles that will take you straight into hell. You must avoid them all at all cost.

Of those many attitudes, we will be talking about murder. Many people will quickly discard this because they have not physically killed anyone. But just as Jesus redefined adultery as a thing of the heart, the Bible also has told us that anyone who hates his brother is murderer.

In our reading of the day, the word of God gave us the example of Cain who hated his brother and later killed him. Are you not a murderer? Is there not someone you hate so much and would not forgive? The Bible calls you a murderer, and we know that no murderer Will have a part in the kingdom of God.

It is an error for a believer to hate anyone. No matter how badly you have been offended, you can trust the Lord to help you. There is no room for hatred or else you will be seen by God as a murderer.

Search your heart today and see if there is anyone you hate or disliked. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you deal with the issue and to love those people unconditionally. Walk up to the person and make necessarily contact. You will be saving a soul by so doing. Rather than hate, fill your heart with the love of Christ.

REFLECTION

But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.

Revelation 22:15 NKJV

There is no room for hatred in the heart of God’s people. Whenever people offend you, endeavour to let go and allow God to heal your heart.

PRAYER

Father, please help me to always readily forgive those who offend me.
