MESSAGE
When a believer loses his saltiness such will become good for nothing. That moment the deep ouflow of the life of Christ stops manifesting, such will begin to fade into a shadow. That is why God is warning you through this message that you should not lose your saltiness.
Imagine the salt in your kitchen suddenly lost its taste, you will obviously throw it away and buy a new one. Likewise also, when a believer loses his/her true Christian values, that fellow will be cast off and a new person takes his work.
With such a man, God can nothing, he is also of no use to the world because he lacks what the world needs. Finally, he becomes useless to himself – he is good for nothing.
From being a firebrand, setting captives free believers, if you are not careful, you may end up a shadow. Here are some of the things you must avoid in order not to lose your saltiness.
Firstly, you must not stop meditating on the word of God. Let it on your lips and in your heart day and night (Joshua 1:8). Secondly, you must develop and maintain a prayer life. Don’t allow anybody to deceive you, the easiest way to lose your saltness is to stop praying. You must pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). And then you must stay off sin and anything that will contaminate your life.
Anybody who does not follow these instructions will soon end up becoming useless. It does not matter how high such as in life and ministry, sin will turn him into a piece of bread. Samson did it and got burnt, don’t go that way.
Beloved, I urge you to take the matter of your salvation seriously. Let nothing derail you and keep you from salting the earth for Christ.
REFLECTION
Avoid sin in your life, so that you may not end up becoming a casualty in the hand of the devil.
PRAYER
Father, please work on me, don’t let me end up becoming good for nothing in your hand.
