MESSAGE
God is waiting for men with whom He can commune. Men and women who can have access to His secrete. God is looking for confidants who He can trust with the true riches of the Kingdom, but such men and women must be His friends. They must know Him personally.
The prophets of old positioned themselves for this, and they knew God. That’s why the Bible says that God will do nothing without revealing it to His servants the prophets (Amos 3:7). This means that in the realm of men, God usually looks for a man with whom He can share His plans for humanity.
That was the intention He had in mind for the first man (Adam) until sin came and spoilt everything. Yet, God has found men with whom He confided, these are men who knew God and they did exploits.
God found men who were willing to know Him and He had revealed Himself to them, and the same longing is in His heart for our generation. Enoch was such a man, the Bible says that He walked with God, and He was not because God took Him away(Genesis 5:24; Hebrews 11:5). But Enoch did not only know God but God shared with Him the vision of the soon-coming King (Jesus) (Jude 1:14-15).
Another man who God was Noah who had personal knowledge of God to the extent that God came to share His plans to destroy the world with Him (Genesis 6). Can you imagine God sharing every detail of building the Ark with Noah, it was the intimacy and knowledge of God that gave him that privilege. That same knowledge of God preserved Noah and his family.
When God called out Abram, it was a call to friendship, Abram walked with God such that He called Abraham His friend. God was unable to go to Sodom without first discussing it with His friend Abraham. God said, how can I hide this thing from Abraham? (Genesis 18:17-19).
Beloved when you know God, you will be enjoying divine secrets. Daniel and his friends through the knowledge of God did exploit in Babylon. God revealed the secrets that only God can. You can be a Daniel of our generation bringing solutions to tough societal issues, but the key is knowing God.
Are you a friend of God? You must repent from all your sins and confess Jesus Christ as your savior. After all, can two walk together except they agree (Amos 3:3). Are you in agreement with God? You have to make your way right today.
REFLECTION
“The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.
Deuteronomy 29:29 NKJV
God spoke with Moses face to face, God desires to do it again. Are you available for God to commit Himself to you? He will only share His mind with you if you fully commit yourself to Him.
PRAYER
Father, please help me to know your ways and your nature from today.
