Value His Presence 3

Text: Psalms 68:2 NKJV

Further Reading: Psalms 68:1-3

As smoke is driven away, So drive them away; As wax melts before the fire, So let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

Psalms 68:2 NKJV

MESSAGE

One thing that seems common to how people lose God’s presence is sin. This is because our God’s eye is too pure to behold sin. Whenever a man who carries God’s presence sins, he sent God out of his life. If anyone wants to quickly lose favor with God, all that fellow needs to do is begin to sin.

Without holiness, no one can see God (Hebrews 12:14). Likewise without holiness, a man can lose God’s presence. Don’t ever negotiate holiness, and don’t join those who think that holiness is not possible.

You can not continue to live in sin and desire God to be with you. Can two work together except they agree? Can you walk with a Holy God with an unholy life? It is impossible!

In our text and reading of the day, the Bible says the enemies of God will scatter when He arises. The Bible further described the wicked that the wicked will not be able to stand in His presence. They will perish says the scriptures.

Only God’s saints can enjoy the presence of the King of kings. In Psalms 140:13, it is written that on the upright shall dwell in His presence.  Are you faithfully walking with the Lord? Do you value His presence enough to depart from sin? Are you passionate enough to desire to be used greatly by God that you depart from sin?

Beloved, God can and He does want you to walk with Him and share His glory, but you must play your own part by actively fleeing from sin.

REFLECTION

And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

Genesis 3:8 NKJV

You must value God’s presence in your life by departing from sin and living a life completely devoted to God. He will in turn bless you with His abundance in all ramifications .

PRAYER

Father, please destroy every evil tendency in me that may rob me of your presence.
