MESSAGE
Many are not truly afraid of God but only fear what people will say about them. Thus, they do whatever they do for men and not for God. Such people can not enjoy all that God has for them.
In our text and reading of the day, the Bible told us that God had to come and warn Abimelech because his heart was innocent. He was not a dubious fellow who had coveted the wife of another but one who has integrity.
Do you have such integrity? Can God be swift to prevent you from error as He did for this king? No pretender can ever hide from the eyes of the Almighty and such will fall into error.
And God said to him in a dream, “Yes, I know that you did this in the integrity of your heart. For I also withheld you from sinning against Me; therefore I did not let you touch her.
Genesis 20:6 NKJV
Even if everyone misjudges your motive, God can never. He sees right through your heart and He will reward yours accordingly. “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. Revelation 22:12 NKJV
God can be trusted, He will correct an honest man who is about to make an honest mistake, but He will allow perpetual sinners and disobedient to fall into the snare of their folly. What is the state of your heart? Are you faithfully following Him? If yes, you can be sure that He will intervene and never let you go down.
Evil shall slay the wicked, And those who hate the righteous shall be condemned. The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.
Psalms 34:21-22 NKJV
