MESSAGE
Often people backslide have no plans of backsliding but they begin by shifting in their hearts. That is why a man can be wearing a suit and collar jacket and such has completely departed from the Lord.
If you will remain in your life, you will also notice that anytime there is a gradual dissipation in your walk with God, it all starts in the heart. It may begin as a form of discouragement which if you don’t quench may lead to serious problems.
Who knew that Jonah was a backslider at heart? He was still a prophet, yet his heart was not right with God. The spoke prophets whose eyes are full of covetousness and greed. They are men like Balam who for the reward of sin, lost his place in God.
You must never forget that backsliding has its lifecycle before it is visible. It is usually incubated in the human heart. The devil starts by sending serious provocative thoughts into your heart and if you don’t check them, it leads to full-blown issues. He will attempt to show you the fault of your leaders and tell you that you stand and even build a bigger cathedral. It’s a lie, the devil is only setting up such fellow for destruction.
Is your heart right with God? Are you not drawing to God with your mouth but your heart is far away (Isaiah 29:13)? You must ask the Lord to help you to renew your mind each day by God’s word (Romans 12:1-2).
If you are not born again you need to ask Jesus to come and clean your heart. He has promised to give you a new heart. He will take away the heart of stones that can not please God (Ezekiel 36:26). The Bible says you become a brand new creature.
If you are like the prodigal son, you must make up your mind to come back home to Jesus. He will also give you a change of heart today in Jesus’ Name.

Is your heart right with God? If not you must ask Jesus into your heart and give you the grace to serve God till the very end. Amen

Father, please help my heart physically, spiritually, and emotionally.
