MESSAGE

The condition of your heart is much more important to God than your outward look. By this, we do not mean to say that you should behave or live ungodly outward life but that your outward life must be commensurate to your inner life. In this generation where men have learned the art of deception on another scale, only God through His Spirit can help to discern who is a true child of God.

Jesus pointed out the hypocrisy of the Pharisees who love to keep clean outward but are full of sinfulness within. Today, there are so many Pharisees in the church who has nice long robes but their heart is bad.
Such may claim not to be adulterous but they feed their eyes with pornographic filth. Their heart is full of evil imagination about another woman. Jesus said that those who find themselves in this chain are as guilty as the fellow who sleeps with another person (Matthew 5:28). Check if you also have this attitude and adjust in the best way possible.

How pure is your heart? This is because only the pure in heart will see God (Matthew 5:8). If your heart is currently running torrents of impure thoughts then you must cry to God for help. Keeping an impure heart will only keep you away from receiving the blessing that God has reserved for you.

Christians must be intentional to avoid every viral agent that spills impurity into the human heart. By constant meditation on the word of God, you will be able to reconfigure a damaged mind to release pure thoughts.

Always plead the blood of Jesus to make your heart pure. In Hebrew 9:14, the Bible says, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

To live with an impure heart is to live a life of defeat and not victory.  Jesus has promised every believer victory over sin. You are not to dominate sin and not to be dominated by sin, therefore, run to the cross today and ask the Lord to create in you a clean heart.

REFLECTION

But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Matthew 5:28 NKJV

You can continue to defile your life by exposing yourself to adult content and fantasizing about sleeping with people in your heart. Such a heart requires purging by the word of God and the Blood of Jesus.

PRAYER

Father, please give me the strength to maintain pure thoughts in my heart at all times.
