MESSAGE

One way the devil attacks us as a believer is that he introduce fear into our heart. A fearful heart can not do God’s will, because the Bible says without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). The enemy knows that if he can attack your mind with fear, you will likely not fulfill God’s purpose for your life.

No wonder the Bible asks you to guard your heart with all diligence. You must not allow any form of fear in your heart. Note that God is not the author of fear, the Bible says that He has not given you the spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind  (2 Timothy 1:7).

In Hebrew 2:13-14, the Bible says that Jesus came to deliver us from the bondage of fear. In Romans 8: the Bible says God has not given us the spirit of bondage again to fear but the spirit of adoption wherein we cry Abba Father.

Fear usually hinders God from working in our lives. That’s why the primary condition of receiving from God is to believe.  Often, Jesus will ask people seeking miracles to have faith and they will be helped.

Many evil that happens to men begins with fear. Job in our text of the day told us that the origin of his problem was his fear. The thing he feared the most happened to him. Just like faith, what we fear happens.

What are you afraid of? What is causing you to fear? As long as you are in Christ don’t be afraid. Don’t allow the enemy to keep your mind tormented. Whatever time you are afraid, just trust in God’s faithfulness.

Do you know that fear is a spirit that the enemy uses to disturb your heart? Command it to jump out of you today. After all, God has given you power to cast out the devil, tell that demon of fear to leave you alone and you will be freed indeed.

REFLECTION

Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident.

Psalms 27:3 NKJV

Be resolute in your heart not to entertain any form of fear. God is bigger than all your fears, just trust and have complete faith in His faithfulness.

PRAYER

Father, I receive the strenght to trust you and not be afraid. Fill my heart with the Spirit of faith.
