MESSAGE
When last did you make that statement? How often do you thank God for the things He has done? Have you ever wondered what your life would have been like if He had not saved you from the grip of sin and death?
Are you ever grateful for the kind of family He gave you, the children, your spouse, your job or business, and all the beautiful things of life he has given you? Are you grateful for His preservation and care over you and your loved ones?
Are you thankful to Him for keeping you and your family safe during the Corona Virus pandemic? Are you grateful at all for all His provisions and care over you? If not, you are an ingrate and you should repent today.
For me, Jesus has done so much, and I am willing to say thank you to Jesus many times. I will be like David who cried in Psalms 103:1-5
Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Think about all the things that David listed, and be thankful to Him. God redeemed your life from destruction, He kept you from all dangers, He has satisfied your mouth with good things, and many more blessings. Why would you not bless and praise this God?
Although it is human for us to quickly forget the things He has and begin to complain about the things He is yet to do, that should not be your attitude as a Christian. You should learn to thank God for everything.
In our text of the day, the only leper who returned to give thanks receives double blessings. If you want God to bless you more, thank Him more and you will see more wonders.
REFLECTION
Make a list of all that God has done for you from the beginning of the year and begin to thank Him. If you can not remember anything, just say, Thank You, Jesus.
PRAYER
Thank you Jesus for everything you have done for me.
