MESSAGE
Today we are going to talk about thanking Jesus for His love. Nothing could be more strong for me than the fact that Jesus loves me. The Bible says that He loved us not because we loved Him but because He just chose to love us.
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
I John 4:10 NKJV
The truth was that we were unlovable, and our text of the day says that when we were yet in our sin Christ died for us. While we were yet enemies, He gave His life to deliver us from the grip of sin. This should make us the k Him.
Everything Christ did was because of His love for us. We deserve death and punishment for our sins but because of His love, we were redeemed. The Bible says God loved the world and He gave Jesus to die for us (John 3:16).
In John 15:13, Jesus said, Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. John 15:13 NKJV. By implication, the love of Jesus is the greatest love that turned we hell-deserving sinners into God’s beloved children. This is a huge reason to thank Jesus.
Ephesians 2:4 says that the love of God is great. Oh, that you may know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:19 NKJV.
Friends let us thank Jesus for His love. It was love that made Him leave His glory above and die for you (Ephesians 5:25). Thank Him with all your heart.
REFLECTION
Thank Jesus for His unconditional love toward you and your family.
PRAYER
Thank you Jesus for loving me unconditionally.
