MESSAGE

Yesterday we learned about how Jesus conquered death, today we want to learn about His victory over the power of the grave.

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 1 Corinthians 15:55 KJV

Everywhere in the world today, Christians of all race and color celebrates the triumph of Christ over death and the grave. The ressurection of Christ the foundation upon which the Christian faith is planted.

Paul said, if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. I Corinthians 15:14 NKJV. In Gospel of Matthew chapter 27 verse 62 to 66, you will see the great effort the chief priest and the Jewish leaders put forwarded to prevent Christ from rising.

But we thank God because though Jesus suffered the pain of death, but God made him free. He raised him from death. There was no way for death to hold him.
Acts 2:24 ERV

Through the triumph of Christ over the power of the grave, the Bible says that you can also be quickened in your physical body. If you are sick, the resurrection power will give you instant healings.

Also, because Christ rose from the grave we have confidence that those who are dead in Christ will also rise on the resurrection morning. Paul the Apostle confirm this truth n saying: For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. I Thessalonians 4:14 NKJV

Believers can rest assured that they also will be called out their graves likewise one day and be glorified with Christ (1 John 3:1-3). While we live however we must not miss out on the gift of the Holy Spirit who Christ prayed to the Father to give everyone who believes after his resurrection and ascent to heaven. The Holy Spirit will help you to fulfil God’s plans for your life because He will lead and guide you into all truth.

Rejoice because Jesus did not only win the victory but He also have us the victory.  Amen.

REFLECTION

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.

John 11:25 NKJV

The Christians’s hope is not only in this world but in the world to come. Though such dies physically, because of the resurrection of Jesus, he will live on into eternity. Amen.
