MESSAGE
God never makes mistakes, He does the best thing to fit every situation. The fact He chose you means He has a purpose for your life, and you can be sure that He will use all things to bring you into His perfect will.
In our text of the day, we see the primary reason why God has chosen you which is so that you will be with Him. God wants a relationship with us first before He uses us for anything. The lost communion between man and God as it was in Eden is God’s primary goal for choosing you.
Apart from that, God chose you so that you can be His witness. He wants you to go out and produce more people like you. Jesus wants the believer to go and reproduce (John 15:16). This desire was clearly spelled out in Matthew 28:19-20.
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Matthew 28:19-20 NKJV
The Bible further says that you are to take the gospel from your locality to the ends of the earth. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8 NKJV
As a believer, you are specially chosen to represent Christ in this world. 2 Corinthians 5:20 says you are an ambassador for Christ. How well are you representing Christ in your community and around you? Are you a true Christian with a burning passion for souls or you are basically lethargic and unconcerned about the lostness of men?
If you have been failing in actualizing why God chose you before now, you must repent and begin to preach the gospel and most importantly you must begin to represent Christ by your actions and way of life.
REFLECTION
You are chosen to populate God’s kingdom and to depopulate hell.
PRAYER
Father, please help me to win more sound into your kingdom. Give me the grace to represent you well everywhere I go.
