MESSAGE

The believer’s call to separation from the world is a call from uncleanness to holiness. Who will deny that this is a highly sexualized generation with all forms of sexual behaviors now accepted as normal even when they are not? The increase in abortion, pornographic content, and filthy sexual practices would tell you that the world is completely let against the word of God.

Even now, we see churches normalizing homosexuality, and accepting transgenderism all in the name of love. Such persons have forgotten the injunction of the word of Gid that the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
Romans 1:32 NKJV

God expects us to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this world. This means that we must live apart from the immoral standard of the world. Our text and reading of the day show us certain positions we must take when it comes to sexuality. The golden rule for the believer is purity in our sexual life. Those who are married must stick to their marital partners, and the unmarried remain sexually pure until marriage.

When a believer joins the world to engage in sexual impurity, that fellow is digging his own grave.  As great as Samson was, he became roasted because of bad sexual habits. Samson the anointed was wasting his anointing in the brothel with a harlot and then on the lap of Madam Delilah. The end of Samson was worse because he joined himself in the world.

Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
I Corinthians 6:18 NKJV

Since our body belongs to God, we must keep it pure for God. God don’t live in an impure place, sexual immorality drives God’s presence away from you. Let the world continue on the path of destruction, you must not join them to corrupt yourself. Be an example of a believer in purity and love.

REFLECTION

Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.”

2 Corinthians 6:17 NKJV

List some ways believers can separate themselves from the pollution we see today. Ask God to help you stand firm without compromise.

PRAYER

Father, please help me to live a life of purity and not compromise in this perverse generation.
