MESSAGE
At certain points in our lives, we would be faced with giants or mountains that threaten to crush our dreams and will. They may come in the form of a failed attempt at a particular venture, career, or relationship with God and men. When this mountain shows up, it looks as if you’d never make it and fear grips the heart. To not go forward means to go back into bondage.
What should a child of God do in this situation? You must face that mountain and not allow it to dominate you. The Bible says that you can say to the mountain to move into the ocean. There is a more bigger assurance in Zechariah 4:7,
Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
Zechariah 4:7 KJV
Rather than being afraid, you must stand to confront that fear in the name of the Lord. After all, God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. Those who will reach their goal in life and ministry must face whatever is making them afraid and go forward.
In our text and reading of the day, when the children of Israel got to the red sea and they saw the massive water, they became afraid. To make their situation more precarious, the enemy was behind them. So, they were afraid because humanly speaking they are doomed.
Thank God for His power, He told them to go forward. In other words, God wants you to match over that situation that ks threthenwibg your life. Instead of being afraid and playing the victim, you can through the power of God in your crush every work of satan.
Don’t forget that God can do exceeding and abundantly for you and through you according to the power that works in you. Are you still afraid of that situation, do no more and go in God’s power?
REFLECTION
Don’t stay at a spot because of fear. Go forward!
