MESSAGE
How much we get in life depends on how desperate or eager to get them. Those who are satisfied with little only have little but people who wanted to succeed at all costs always go for more. The best athletes and sportsmen and women of our time are those who despite all odds will not settle for mediocrity but will instinctively go for gold.
The same principle holds spiritually. The more you want, the more you get. People have gone deep into the devil’s den to get strange powers that have left them in captivity of the devil. They paid the price for the power, fame, money, and whatever they got from the enemy of their souls. But God is willing to give eternal blessings to those who will ask Him.
There is an open check that God has given to every one of His children. It is the ability to ask. In our text of the day, the Bible says we can ask, seek, and knock until we get what we want. If you look at that scripture clearly, you will notice that there is a particular order in which a person can secure a blessing.
The first order is to simply ask, but if you don’t get by asking you should seek, and if you still do not get what you want you must keep knocking on the doors of heaven until God rains His blessings upon you.
Sadly many people did not receive their blessings and miracles today because they stopped asking. When you talk to them, they will simply say, but I have asked God but nothing is happening. These are those who will not ho further to seek through the scripture the will of God and how to secure divine blessings. Whatever such people get from God will only come by mercy.
There are some however who are knockers. They are those who like the woman of Canaan will not take a No for an answer. They keep bombarding heaven with their until they get their blessing. God honors the faith of such people and grants them the desire of their hearts.
Our God is willing to bless, but are willing to press until we touch the hem of His garment? Friends, do not settle for less, cry to God today and radically touch Him with your daring faith. You must take a cue from Jacob told the angel, I will not let you go until you bless me.
And He said, “Let Me go, for the day breaks.” But he said, “I will not let You go unless You bless me!”
Genesis 32:26 NKJV
The same God is willing to bless you if you are willing to hold on to Him fast.
REFLECTION
How much you will receive from God will be determined by how much you want. God is unlimited in resources, it is when you tell him you are okay that you stop receiving from Him.
PRAYER
Father, please endow me with your overflowing blessings.
