MESSAGE

Often in life, we are surrounded by many impossibilities. Life’s challenges seem to put much weight and pressure on us. In such times, it is very easy to take one’s eyes away from Jesus and turn to the problem and the advice from friends and family. When we find ourselves in such a position, whose voice we listen to matters the most.

Amid many voices and opinions, you must trust the Holy Spirit to speak His word into your heart. Anxiety and fear will do no good but ruin your mood and distract your thoughts but absolute faith in God’s word settles the matter.

The believer’s walk is a faith walk, it is a life of absolute trust in God’s faithfulness despite what we see or may even be going through. Our reasoning and judgment must be firmly fixed on what God has said about the situation.

Remember, even when the situation looks like you are in the valley of the shadow of death, you are never to despair because God’s word has an answer even for that situation.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
Psalms 23:4 NKJV

In your most difficult situation, you must turn your eyes off what men have said but what God has said. This is because the counsel and words of men are temporal but His words are eternal.

Take a look at our Lord when He was being tempted by Satan. His sole reliance was on what God had said. God’s word guaranteed His victory and it can surely guarantee yours too. Do you know His word? How often do you meditate upon His word? To be truly blessed by God, you must meditate on His words day and night. Such a lifestyle will always guarantee you victory over every battle of life.

REFLECTION

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Joshua 1:8 NKJV

Success and victory await those who will take God at His word. Are you such a person?

PRAYER

Father, please help me trust your word more than any other in every situation I find myself in life.
