Matthew 24:15 NKJV

MESSAGE

One of the major signs of the end times that Jesus predicted is the abomination in God’s house. This is so prevalent today as we have seen many strange fires burn on God’s altar instead of the Holy Ghost fire. Many so-called leaders in God’s household have gone to make a league with satan who is the enemy of the God of the house.

Somehow the gate of hell has not only found its way into the church but now on the altar. Thank God because Jesus had already prayed for His church, so we are confident that the gates of hell will never prevail against her. 

Do you notice sorcerers like Simon in Samaria? Such people are there pretending to be real but are fake. We have stories of how pastors in Nigeria bury charms (African Magic) in the foundation of the church to pull many people to the church. Some of these diabolical methods even include human sacrifice. This is the type of abomination that Jesus spoke about in reference to the prophecy of Daniel the prophet. 

The truth is that we can know these false prophets by their fruits but some are wolves in sheep’s clothing, therefore great discernment and grace are required to fish such out. That is why you can not be drunk with the wine of pleasure and self-gratification in this generation but be filled with the Holy Ghost (Ephesians 5:18).

Also, believers should endeavor in this age to search the scripture this age for themselves. You must know who God is by yourself. This will require an in-depth study of God’s word and constant intimacy in the place of prayer. This is not the time to be slack but to be firm in your faith in Christ. 

We can no longer be nonchalant about our personal relationship with Christ. We must know whom we have believed and be persuaded to stay connected to Him at all costs (2 Timothy 1:12). This is a challenge for us to stand up for the truth in our churches. We must strive and earnestly contend for the faith that was once delivered to the Saints (Jude 1:3). Also, we must like Elijah stand under the unction of the Holy Ghost to confront every false prophet, teacher, pastor, or any other minister in in and around our local assembly. 

REFLECTION

And He said to those who sold doves, “Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!” Then His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up.”

John 2:16-17 NKJV

Be zealous for God against the immoral operation of satan in your local assembly. 

PRAYER

Father, please help increase my zeal for You in my generation. Please help me be blazing with passion for Your cause on earth.
