MESSAGE
Jesus was a mountain climber and He is the one we must emulate. Often He departs to the mountain to talk to His Father. Notice that He was the son of God yet He climbs the mountain.
Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.
Luke 6:12 NKJV
It is because the mountain top is the place of fellowship and renewing of strenght. It is as He beholds the glory of His Father that He is being renewed.
Likewise, if we keep climbing with Him, we will also behold His glory and be transformed from one level of glory to the other. We will be changed inside out.
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
II Corinthians 3:18 NKJV
Again, it is the mountain experience that gives us the courage and strength to take up tasks and challenges without breaking. Also, we have the emotional and mental strenght to tackle whatever temptation satan stands bringing our way.
Do you remember that Jesus was tempted during one of those mountain experiences but He never lacked the strenght to prevail? Likewise, we will have enough strength and courage to win when we are confronted with situations.
Spiritual and physical battles are also won on the mountaintop. Remember how Moses defeated the Amalekite. It was on the mountain. Therefore, whether it is to get our strenght renewed or win a battle, believers must always show up to climb with the Lord to the mountaintop.
REFLECTION
You can guarantee the renewal of strength and victory in your battles as long as you climb with Him to the mountain top.
PRAYER
Father, please renew my strength and give me victory in all my battles against satan, sin, and the world as I climb with you to the mountaintop daily.
