You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.

John 5:39 NKJV

MESSAGE

We need to be careful with exposition and revelation of the word of God. There is a thin line between exposition and heresy.  Any exposition that takes you outside of the scripture as a you foundational source will lead only to error.

Christians must be careful about what they hear and how they hear.  Human reception is often based on perception originating from their innermost emotional and spiritual construct. I mean how we hear the word of God can often be shaped by our emotional and spirittual states.

We must all begin to search the scriptures as Jesus told the pharisees.  This is no time to be lazy and depending solely on what another man says. We must for ourselves have understaing of the word of God or else we would be corrupted by flatteries of the end time prophets.

Those who will not sit with the word of God will always be a victim of false prophets. Because they lack the knowlege of the truth that sets free, they remain in bondage (John 8:32).

More than that, you also have the dangerous half-truth. Satan is using this ancient scheme to destroy many today in the body of Christ. In this case,  some men picks a scripture and turns it around to suit their ideology without balancing it with other scriptures.  They use this scheme to confuse many who will study the word for themselves.

We live in a time in which you cannnot affort to be lazy in studying and meditating on God’s word. You must study to show yourself approved unto God as His new creation being and rightly dividing the word of God (2 Timothy 2:15).

REFLECTION

These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.

Acts 17:11 NKJV

If you don’t want to be swayed by false doctrine,  then study the scriptures.

PRAYER

Father, please grant me the strength to study your Word diligently and apply it to my life.
