Psalms 103:1 NKJV

MESSAGE

As we wind down the year, it is important to take the stock of the year and return all the praise to God. This year has been one of the most difficult years, yet the Lord has been merciful. It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, Because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: Great is thy faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22‭-‬23 KJV

I want you to look at every aspect of the year and give God the praise. God has fulfilled many promises to us this year. We will be looking at some of those faithful works of God and praise Him in anticipation of better things in the coming year.

God has been our refuge and fortress. He has been our safety in the face of multiple dangers and evil occurrences that happened in the world. He did not allow you to be a casualty of evil, instead, the Lord was your hiding place, He delivered you from troubles and surrounded you with songs of deliverance.

Think of how the Lord delivered you from the snares of the enemies and shielded you from dangerous enemy attacks. Most importantly, the Lord delivered you from the evil pestilence that shook the whole world. How many times did the Lord heal you from sicknesses and diseases? You must bless and worship His holy name.

The Bible says in Psalms 103:2 that you bless the Lord and forget not any of His benefits. One of those benefits was that He forgave your iniquities and healed your diseases (Psalms 103:3). Thank Him for the deliverance from destruction (Psalms 103:4)

Thank Him because He satisfied your mouth with good things and renewed your youth like the eagle’s (Psalms 103:5). You can list some of other personal benefits that the Lord has given you this year and praise Him specially. Do not be an ingrate, when you praise Him, you open yourself to more blessings from Him.

Count your blessings!
