MESSAGE

Marriage is beautiful and God has designed it as a blessing and not a curse. Marriage brings a person into glory and not shame. If you will not be ashamed in marriage, certain things must be considered.

Both marital and premarital relationships must be kept pure. The Bible says that Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
Hebrews 13:4 NKJV. We must spell it out in our generation that premarital sexual experience will only bring shame and not glory. Couples who go outside of their marriage to defile their marital bed will end up being judged by God.

Christians must be very careful of the way they live their lives. Any marriage that is not kept in purity will lead to shame. The Bible told us in our text of the day that both the man and his wife were naked and not shamed.

Also, any marriage that will bring glory must commence under God. It must be God who ordains the marriage and will ensure that His glory rests upon it. You must therefore seek God before you chose your partner.

Let me say again, any marriage that will not bring shame must be in the context of marriage between a man and a woman. Any other unnatural marriage will only bring shame.  You can not indulge in such as a Christian. Please don’t let society influence your thought about marriage.

Finally, marriages that will shine must consistently look up to Jesus. Couples must always lay the foundation and sustain their family by consistently praying. Never run your marriage without soaking it in prayer.

REFLECTION

They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed.

Psalms 34:5 NKJV

You can’t be ashamed if you place your marriage before Jesus every day.

PRAYER

Father, don’t allow my marriage to bring shame to me and the name of Christ.
