MESSAGE
The word of God is the most effective and comprehensive equipment to change lives. In our world in which many have all forms of problems, it is the word of God that can bring solutions to those situations. For example, if someone is sick in his or her body, the word of God can be transferred to such person and bring healing and deliverance (Psalms 107:20).
In the case of the centurion whose servant was healed, all Jesus did was send the word on a healing errand, and it was done. Christians must know that the gospel is not complete if you take away the ministry of healing. Jesus told us that healing will follow our preaching, therefore you can expect to heal someone or be healed when God’s word is being preached.
Apart from the physical sickness that many have, some have more complex and complicated issues like mental and emotional challenges. Such problems include fear, anxiety, emotional imbalance, and other mental-related issues. The word of God when preached under the Holy Spirit is capable of bringing complete order back into the lives of these victims. This is possible because the Bible says that faith comes by hearing God’s word (Romans 10:17).
The penetrating power of God’s word makes it effective in bringing the hardest people repentance. God’s word is laser sharp, it does not miss its target, it punctures hearts and breaks down walls. When preached, sinners are turned into saints, criminals become responsible, and derelict becomes acceptable. Nothing can change a man’s life better than God’s word.
That is why you must not slack in preaching the word of God. You must do it with all your passion knowing that it will change anyone who comes in contact with it. Jesus while sending His disciples told them to go out there and heal the sick, and cast out devils. The same injunction is passed to everyone that believes, do you believe?
Unless the word is preached people will remain in sin and bondage. Scripture says, “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?”
Romans 10:14 NKJV
Are you preaching God’s word?
REFLECTION
The word of God has power in itself, it is not the word of any man. Therefore preach it expecting miracles, signs, and wonders to follow.
PRAYER
Father, please grant me utterance and sharpness whenever I am preaching Your word.
