MESSAGE
In a time when the power of darkness has become very bold in their enterprise, nothing short of revival is acceptable. Many prophets like that of Baal are parading with false miracles and signs to deceive many, such fellows must be silenced.
There is a need for an anointing that calls fire down to disgrace the power of darkness. We must cry to the Holy Ghost for help or else darkness will continue to dominate.
Thank God for a man like Elijah as we read in our text of the day, He was a daring man full of God’s spirit. Through God’s power revival came to the nation of Israel as we believe God to do for us even in our time. But we must not fold our hands, we must cry to God for help.
The good news is that Christ has given us the advantage. He has commissioned us with His power. He even said we will do greater works than He did (John 14:12). Now the ball lies in our courts, do we thirst for change or we are satisfied with the status quo? Nothing can bring back our nations to God but a Holy Ghost invasion.
But we must prepare the way of the Lord in the prayer. Until we travail in the place of prayer, there may be little or no showers of revival blessing. Scripture says,
Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion was in labor, She gave birth to her children.
Isaiah 66:8 NKJV
Shall we continue to fold our hands and watch as our generation slides into hell? Shall we not pray and seek God’s face? He is looking down from heaven to see if He will find a man who will intercede for this generation (Ezekiel 22:30), will you be the one? None of us should spare ourselves, it is time we must beg the Lord to fulfill His promise in Zechariah 12:10. He must pour on us the Spirit of prayer. The time is now to awake to pray, it is a call to prayer, God is calling you. Will you heed the call? Think about it.
REFLECTION
O Lord, I have heard Your speech and was afraid; O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make it known; In wrath remember mercy.
Habakkuk 3:2 NKJV
It is time for you to rise and confront the forces of darkness in the mighty power of our Lord. No more should darkness reign while fold our hands and do nothing. We must take the battle to the enemy at the gates.
PRAYER
Father, please pour upon every one of your children the Spirit of prayer. Let your revival fire fall now in Jesus’s name.
