MESSAGE
Often times the first response to difficult circumstances is to quit. We know however that winners don’t quit and quitters never win. It is impossible for anyone who quits to ever become anything in the hands of God or in any way useful to humanity.
We must admit however that we are sometimes faced with fearful events that may likely drift us backward from our goals. Fear to me is a test of faith. How will you know if you truly have faith if you are not confronted with fear? Any faith that is not tested can not be trusted, that’s why God allows us to go through phases in life that may be fearful.
As God’s children, we know that God is with us. You can rest assured that even though you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, you can fear no evil as long as God is with you (Psalm 23:4)
In the Bible, we find many great people come face to face with fearful situations and have overcome them by facing them. One such man is David. He was considered a nobody, but God had been preparing him for leadership at the back of the desert.
David had faced lion and bear and had won. Imagine David had run from those fearful encounters, he will no match to confront Goliath. Fearful situations will not break you as long as you are on the Lord’s side, they will make you ready to fight a future high-profile battle and win.
While the entire nation of Israel was scrambling in front of the Philistine giants and not one person could face him. God took the man who have faced multiple fears and overcome them to the grand stage. David confronted the fearful enemy and the rest is history.
If you don’t face your fears, it will keep roaring at your face and you will find yourself retreating instead of advancing. Once David knew he was with God, any mountain can be pulled down.
REFLECTION
Fear hinders a man from fulfilling God’s purpose. Confront that fear right now!
PRAYER
Father, please give me the strength to face all my fears and to win in Jesus’ name. Amen.
